Hikers found a large dog in the woods. He was very thin, and he had trouble walking when he got up. Naida Shelter rescued him and took him in.

The shelter's diagnosis showed that the dog, named Taco, had a cerebellar injury from an impact. He also had bite marks across his body, and all of his teeth had been cut short. The source says it was obvious he had been used as a hunting dog.

Taco would never walk normally again, according to the report. After rehabilitation and care, he improved. Walks along the beach helped him, the source says. He now lives in a place where he will not be abused or abandoned again.
